Dear HMC students,
A number of HMC professors are advertising and recruiting for research positions using the HMC Undergraduate Research Opportunities site. If you are interested in learning about these positions or applying to them, go to https://uro.hmc.edu to register, set up your profile, and apply to what looks exciting. The current round includes positions available for academic credit with some projects extending into next summer for paid research.
The deadline to apply for projects is Thursday, August 31 at 11:59pm PT.
Doing research is a great way to get hands-on experience in a discipline you're passionate about. Please check out the FAQ https://uro.hmc.edu/faq and email us (milton@g.hmc.edu and vanheuvelen@g.hmc.edu) if you are having difficulty with the site. Also note that these aren't the only research positions that are available at Mudd. Some faculty members have their own method of advertising, so if there is a faculty member you are interested in working with, you could always contact them directly to find out if they have any available positions.
