Research mentors are members of the community who can provide meaningful research experiences for undergraduates, including postdocs and professors.

For Research Mentors

  • Monday, January 9 at 6:00am - First day to post projects
  • Sunday, January 29 at 11:59pm - Last day to post projects
  • Monday, February 20 at 6:00am - First day to view applications
  • Tuesday, March 7 at 11:59pm - Last day to accept applicants using the site

For Students

  • Monday, January 30 at 6:00am - First day to apply for projects
  • Sunday, February 19 at 11:59pm - Last day to apply for projects

All times listed in Pacific Time (PT). 

 

Note: The "Last day to accept applications" is when mentors send out first offers to students through the site. Some mentors might send out offers directly to students by email after this date.

Message to faculty about Fall 2022 URO round

Dear HMC faculty,

If you are looking to recruit students for your research, scholarship, or creative projects in the spring term or during summer and are interested in using the uro.hmc.edu site, please read on. The current round includes positions available this spring and/or summer. Based on faculty feedback, we have made the current round earlier in the semester (see timeline below).

Dear HMC students,  A number of HMC professors are advertising and recruiting for Spring 2022 and Summer 2022 research positions using the HMC Undergraduate Research Opportunities site. If you are interested in learning about these positions or applying to them, go to https://uro.hmc.edu to register, set up your profile, and apply to what looks exciting. The current round includes positions available this spring and/or summer. Please note, we will have another round at the beginning of next semester that also includes summer positions. If you don't see projects from a faculty member you're interested in working with, please get in touch with them directly to ask about their timeline.
