Join the CuTE Lab [Santana]
The Cell Biology, μfluidics, and Tissue Engineering (CuTE) Lab is hiring for the Fall 2024 term (and beyond)! Our work focuses on designing tissue-engineered platforms and microfluidic technologies to understand cell biology and engineer solutions for human health.
As a researcher on this team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams to develop tools and generate knowledge:
- for investigating cellular function in biomimetic microenvironments to uncover truths about cell-cell communication as mediated by extracellular vesicles
- subteams focus on:
- cell biology/vesicle analysis
- best suited to folks interested in cell biology, bioengineering, and biomedical engineering
- materials engineering (design and testing)
- best suited to folks interested in mechanics, materials, and biomedical engineering
- education/outreach
- best suited to folks interest in STEM education with a focus on biology and mechanics
- cell biology/vesicle analysis
- subteams focus on:
- for creating complex tissue models via bioprinting, aiming to design a system that can produce complex biomaterials and tissue models.
- subteams focus on:
- bioprinter design/evaluation
- best suited to folks interested in biomedical engineering, software/hardware, interdisciplinary projects
- computational fluid mechanics for μfluidics
- best suited to folks interested in fluid mechanics and computational modeling
- empirical validation of μfluidic fluid flows
- best suited to folks interested in fluid mechanics, mechanics, material testing, and microscopy
- bioprinter design/evaluation
- subteams focus on:
To learn more about the lab's work, attend an Zoom Q&A Session on Friday 8/30, 12:30 - 1:00PM. The goal of this session is to get your questions answered.
To apply, complete this form by Thursday, November 30 at 11:59PM. Submit a letter of intent, updated CV, and unofficial transcript.
Once you apply, your materials will be reviewed and you may be invited to schedule an interview.
